Angel Numbers 101 by Doreen Virtue introduces the idea that angels communicate with us through numbers. She is a prolific writer in the metaphysical world and I have read several of her books and this is probably my favorite. I refer to this book often, sometimes several times a day when a number keeps popping up for me. The basic idea is that angels use numbers to communicate with us on a regular basis. This book lists the meaning of numbers 1 through 999.*
Animal Spirit Guides by Steven Farmer discusses animal spirit guides and related topics such as totem animals. The book also discusses the idea that if an animal makes an appearance in your life, it can have meaning and a message for you. A large part of this book is an alphabetical listing of animals and possible meanings if one makes an appearance in your life. I found the book extremely helpful when strange animal appearances were surprising me and leaving me puzzled. It is interesting and helpful resource. *
Bringing Your Soul to Light by Dr. Linda Backman provides an exploration of the soul journey through the past and between life regressions. It is a wonderful and easy to understand guide about what happens before and after our life in our human body.*
Ghosts Among Us by Van Praagh is a great book that sheds light on the potentially spooky subject of ghosts in an informative and enlightening way. If you are curious about ghosts or have dealt with them firsthand, then this could be a good book for you to read. Van Praagh is one of the most well known ghost whisperers today (you may have heard of his show The Ghost Whisperer).
I Had the Strangest Dream by Kelly Sullivan Walden is a dream analysis book that has a modern approach with listings that don’t appear in some older dream analysis books. I find that the symbolism described usually resonates for me.
Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives by Michael Newton takes a fascinating look at our lives between lives. Newton methodically regressed patients and noted descriptions and stories of the afterlife, revealing a surprisingly ordered system for those who are in spirit form.
Psychic Vampire Codex: A Manual of Magick and Energy Work by Michelle A. Belanger. This book gives some great tools and tips for managing energy and energy healing work. Do not be scared by the word vampire in the title.
Second Sight by Judith Orloff, M.D. chronicles Dr. Orloff’s personal journey as an intuitive and healer. She is a psychiatrist who initially turned away from her gift but gradually learned to embrace it. It is an interesting read and I like the fact that she has a background in traditional methods and embraces non-traditional approaches as well.
A Time for Truth by Nick Bunick addresses and documents the presence of angels in the author’s life but also discusses important changes within Christianity over time. The book clarifies a lot of the questions I’d had about history and the church and how church leaders and roman emperors (at one point they were pretty much the same) changed significant parts of the bible thereby altering the message from one of love to one of fear.
You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading and Healing by Debra Lynne Katz addresses many tools you yourself can learn to heal and yourself and others. The format of the book in engaging and Katz' style is casual and easy to read. Many of the tools that are given in this book have been effective for me and I encourage you to read this book! *
You are the Answer: An Extroardinary Guide to Entering the Sacred Dance with Life and Fulfilling Your Soul Purpose by Michael Tamura is an interesting and helpful read. The book is about finding the answers within and asking the right questions with many helpful tips on how to move forward on your life path. *
